COVID-19 An Overview and Are Care Homes The Next Disaster Waiting To Happen?
On
25 April The UK past another milestone with over 20,0000 recorded
Corvid deaths according to government published statistics. And more
than 148,337 affected, representing an infection to death of over
13%! These statistics
don't include the infections or death rates outside NHS hospitals
which many estimates to be proportionately higher. Why because
accurate and timely figures aren't available!
On
23 04 20 the UK Financial Times article estimated that COVID 19
deaths were as many as 41,000. This is over twice the Government
published figure. An estimated 10,000 deaths have occurred in U.K care homes and a similar number at home
Why
is the UK infection rate to deaths so high compared to most other
European countries?
The UK is second to top of world listings for deaths per thousand people
infected, this represents 13% deaths per 1000. The key question is
why so high a percentage rate? The answer may very be connected to
the UK government's failure to implement early lockdown and
self-isolation.
“I’m
now set the goal of 100,000 tests per day by the end of this month.
The UK
has a population of 66.65m which is 20% less but has a death rate is
330% higher! The question is why? The initial government strategy for adopting ‘Hurd Immunity’ was flawed and later dropped. This
delay and strategic shift lost valuable time in combating COVID 19.
The
UK COVID 19 tests up to April 22ed was 560,000 whereas Germany was 2
million!
The
UK lateness ineffective action is seen by many as exacerbating the
infection and death rate. Again too little too late. Many believe
incisiveness was the result of poor focus, poor planning, poor
implementation, the net result of juggling politics with the
nations well being
On
Wednesday, January 22ed 2020 amid
an explosion of coronavirus cases in Wuhan, the Chinese city where
the outbreak began, Public Health England (PHE) announces it is
moving the risk level to the British public from “very
low” to “low”.
Chinese
Cover-up?
The
Chinese earliest case detected was on 17 November, weeks before
authorities acknowledged a new virus, says Chinese media
It
is not known when COVID 19 entered the UK, the first reported case
reported was on January
29, when two Chinese nationals fell ill at the Staycity Aparthotel in
York.
UK
Care Home’s Could Add 50% To Current Government Infection Numbers
According
to The Guardian Recent Report
Leading
care home providers are saying to the government that COVID-19
could have infected 50% of nursing homes. This is a significant
number, there are estimated to be over 11,00 care homes, run by 5,500
providers across the country. Just doing the maths could reveal
shockingly high numbers of infections resulting in significant
additional deaths
The
infections to deaths based on 20,700 UK hospital deaths as a result
of 153,000 infections is 13.5%.(26/04/20)
The
above 13.5% is the average death rate percentage. Data is
showing One in
five (20%) Covid-19 deaths occurred in people aged between 80 and 84.
We believe exceptionally few tests are being carried out
on care home residents and staff as of now. Why, because they
haven't got the testing equipment and many haven't the full the complement of PPE to keep the staff from spreading the virus.
It
is forecast that care homes will suffer the highest number of deaths
per 1000. well above the current 13% average may be in access of 20%.
The
Beeches Care home, Worthing a multi-million-pound luxury residency
fighting the COVID 19 whist owners ‘husband’ fights criminal
investigations!
Take
the multi-million care home set-up The
Beeches located in Worthing. It now has a ‘good’ CQC (care
quality commission) report. CQC is the independent regulator of all
health and social care services in England) The
Beeches rating was gained after past years of underperformance
in key areas from CQC inspections
However,
they are still unable to satisfy the regulator on being ‘well-led’
Not any comfort for those paying tens of thousands of pounds per
year
to keep their loved ones at this luxury care home. And certainly poor
leadership is the last thing you want in a COVID19 pandemic where
you're responsible for keeping safe and saving lives of this most
vulnerable group. Mrs
Diane Jane Wyatt is
registered by CQC as being responsible for providing including
Treatment
of disease, disorder or injury
It
is believe
The
Beeches was contacted some time ago by a member of the public
regarding COVID 19 cases in their home. No response has been
received. This is somewhat
surprising,
no response to a message or even an acknowledgment
of
a pandemic which has effected
and
transformed our lives and killed over 20,000 people in the UK. Some
may believe
this
alludes to possible infections or difficulties in preventing
infections at this luxury care home which the owner or staff prefer
to keep under wraps?
The
Beeches response may on reflection not be soo surprising and a further indictment that management still falls short of attaining
‘Good’ CQC rating. This is sad when considering there are 40 or
so residents at The Beeches who like many other care homes across The UK is one of the very high-risk groups for catching and sadly dying
from COVID 19.
‘My
life is in your hands seems to summaries the current plight of these
elderly and infirm group’
And
The Beeches residents, their family, and friends are hoping that
millionaire owner, Jane Wyatt, is able to manage and keep them safe? This is a big ask for anyone to have this pressure of responsibility
but maybe more so Ms. Wyatt common law ‘husband’ a Mr. Paul
Hargrave. Her ‘husband’ is wanted for questioning by a number of
internationally-based groups related to money
laundering, tax evasion, and fraud. With all the
current challenges now facing The Beeches care home, this on top must
make it very hard for owner Jane Wyatt, to focus on protecting the
lives of her 40 care home residents?
The back
story to this particular luxury home care establishment has been
airing across the internet in recent months. Our research suggests it
is significant and credible evidence to support the fact that the
middle-aged owner of The Beeches Mrs. Jane Wyatt is linked through her
partner to an internet international boiler room, money laundering, and fraud gang.
Many members we believe are located in Asia and
particularly concentrated in Manila, Philippines. It is believed, Jane
Wyatt partner Paul Hargrave who is known to both UK and Manila
police also has property in Manila. It is not known if Hargrave is
active or not in Jane Wyatt multi-million most real enterprise.

There
is no evidence currently to suggest that Wyatt has any connection
with her partner's money laundering or any illegal activity. However,
the mere fact that The Beeches care home has this connection must, in reality, dent its reputation and business. For some a nagging
suspicion that The Beeches multi-million business operation has also
been influenced by Paul Hargrave in some way or other can't be
discounted!
