Is the The Beeches Care Home Worthing Ready To Fight COVID-19?
Many relatives and friends across England are feeling helpless and frustrated not being able to help or visit their loved ones who are now isolated in care homes. The event now facing us is unprecedented in recent memory. This is a war but not between nations but against an air more virus COVID-19
Right now we seem not prepared as a nation to fight this virus head-on. With equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) in short supply. Like other major global challenges through our history we will put together supported by our belief as a nation in our faith, our government and in this instant the NHS and ability of care homes to cope, to do the right thing. But is this just wishful thinking?
The vast majority of privately owned care homes in England may not be able to cope in the short term? Are the owners, staff, and management fit for purpose to deal with the imminent threat this of contagion spiraling out of control? The government acknowledges it will become worsen before improving over the coming weeks. This will they say result in many more becoming infected resulting in many more deaths
According to government prognosis, the UK is still some weeks away from the pandemic Zenith in the UK. In other words, it going to get a lot worse before getting better. The possibility of tens of thousands of the population becoming effected is a frightening a sober thought. Government data shows there are some 410,000 care home residents in the UK across 11,300 care homes. Can they cope?
Take The Beeches private care home as one example of the tasks that face this sector
The Beeches is a palatial multi-million-pound real estate located in Wordsworth Road, Worthing. They are responsible for caring for some 40 or so residents with physical disability and old age. Each we believe paying tens of thousands of pounds a year to this private company owned by Diane Jane Wyatt and daughter Sarah Wyatt.
These residents like others in care homes throughout the UK is at high risk.
So what are The Beeches and another care home now putting the place to protect their resident and staff from catching COVID-19
The government states they don't expect care homes unlike hospitals to have dedicated isolation units. They expect all staff should be trained in hand hygiene. And staff should use personal protective equipment (PPE) for activities that bring them into close personal contact, There's are some of the many directions in the government published guidance brief of 19 March 2020
The key question has The Beeches and other care homes effective management practices to implement these government directives?
We believe effective hands-on management is key in the delivery of effectively controlling the spread of this virus. And there is no room for complacency, the Chichester Reporter on 27 March reported the number effected in West Sussex has increased to 86.
A 95-year-old man has died from COVID-19 after an outbreak of the virus at his care home in Sussex. Giuseppe Casciello was one of two residents to test positive after 15 out of 20 residents at Oaklands Nursing Home in Hove developed symptoms. In total, three were tested. BBC News 31 March
The Labour MP previously said the home's residents had to wait 10 days for the tests to arrive and claimed the delay allowed the virus to spread
Effective proactive management and procedures are needed to ensure staff are trained to both avoid and contain the virus. The Beeches operation as assessed by the Care Quality Commission report (CQC) shows The Beeches falls well short of a perfect score with an overall score of bearly a pass rate and falling short in both ‘Safty’ and ‘Well-led’ key areas need to combat Caronasvira
One analyze when asked to respond to the above finding stated.
‘These are very disappointing results. It show The Beeches are poor within key performance areas. Poor leadership is the catalyst for poor performance everywhere. Residence each pay thousands of pounds a year to this private care home. They don't seem to be delivering value! They and other private operators know full well that it is hard to move elderly relatives and they seem as a sector to leverage this and ramp-up costs each year.’
Unless care homes like The Beeches take pre-emptive action NOW and buy testing kits and have adequate supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE). It is surely only a matter of time before a disaster will happen. The jury is out but I am afraid to say this is doubtful.
Care home staff is NOT being tested for coronavirus as they are not considered frontline staff currently. This means there is potential for staff to infect the most vulnerable groups. More concerning is that staff may be carriers of the virus who appear to show no signs of ill health.
We believe The Beeches care home is in a unique position to do more for their 40 or so old and infirm residents more than many other niche privately owned care homes
Owner The Beeches is Sarah Wyatt is the common-law wife to Paul Hargrave. Who we believe has substantial assets built-up through international fraud, money laundering, and deception
Our investigations show he has close ties with boiler room scam operations based in Manila, Philippines and works hand in glove with known criminal gangs across this region
We also know that he and his partners in crime the Giles family, Mathew, Daniel and one time labor MP candidate Maggie Giles run with Canadian David Gilinsky and Canada based overall Boss Mark Lowman multiple internet scam sites including:

THE CRIME BOSS Mark Lowman
SCAM SITES: Hartford Group, International Paramount Financial Group now morphed into Axis, Axis Capital, Westhill Consulting, Management, Trent Consultant, Eldora Gold Recourses, Solomon Energy Corp, Ackerman & Co, Wentworth Worldwide Ltd, Fisher Capital Management
Hargrave is well known to the UK police and was arrested last December at Heathrow. Hundreds of the British invested lost millions of pounds through criminal activities by Paul Hargrave. He still runs these offshore operations out of Manila. An influential group of investors will be taking imminent action against him again through the courts.
Sarah Wyatt's 'marriage' to her criminal husband may in this moment of crisis be a silver lining in The Beeches ability unlike other to fund the buying of Coronavirus test kits to save lives. But if you already financially ruined other people's lives what are the chances that you care about a dam in helping others!
There is no suggestion that The Beeches are involved in money laundering or criminal activities but there are being monitored, by private investigators.
